Chapter 1: Curated Collections and New Contributions

Dear readers and fellow enthusiasts of Medium, I have curated a collection of 115 lists, presenting diverse topics for newcomers. My goal is to unearth valuable narratives that have been overlooked, making them accessible for those just joining our community.

Recently, we welcomed over 200 new writers, whose introductions can be found at the end of this post. Please extend a warm welcome and explore their works!

One story that particularly resonated with me was penned by Aiden, whose emotional recounting of Australian cinema sparked a wave of feelings. I endeavored to channel these sentiments in a positive manner.

Inspired by impactful pieces on health and science, I crafted a story examining aging and longevity. It features light-hearted moments with my son, who is a cardiologist, alongside a retired cardiologist writer who provided both challenges and insights.

I’ve been inspired by several recent submissions, with two stories receiving boosts just yesterday. My aim is to enhance visibility and engagement, supporting our authentic and inspiring authors. At the end of this collection, I will share quick updates on our publication's activities, as our readers are primarily interested in the stories I select.

I enjoy crafting uplifting narratives, and I borrowed from Aiden's Bollywood-themed story to provide some lively entertainment that could uplift your spirits and enhance your well-being.

Due to a surge in submissions, my collection today is slightly shorter, but we have welcomed many new writers, whose profiles you can explore at the end of this post.

I also wrote a brief yet crucial story to inform the public that intermittent fasting does not increase heart disease risk by 91%, following a misstatement from the AHA.

Dr. Yildiz has addressed this topic and Aiden added a more engaging take on it as well.

As writers and readers, we should strive to enrich our understanding. I crafted a satirical piece on a dubious business opportunity that turned out to be a scam—intended purely for entertainment.

In sharing impactful public health messages, one story that resonated with me is about breast cancer awareness. It’s essential reading for both women and men.

Dr. Yildiz also highlighted the benefits of exercise in reducing the risk of 13 types of cancer—an eye-opening read.

Additionally, I featured a story focused on supporting women in tech and other male-dominated fields, which is crucial for our society's progress.
