I often ponder whether I am seen as the rebellious one, the obedient teen, the naive young adult, or simply as the person I have become today. In many ways, I am still unraveling my identity. The past few years have provided a valuable opportunity for introspection and self-evaluation.

Over the last decade, I have dedicated time to addressing my anxiety, which has made me feel both inadequate at times and at peace during others. Engaging in self-work is crucial before you can offer support to others.

Have you ever heard the expression about filling your cup first? I once viewed that as selfish, but I now understand the importance of taking a step back when necessary. This is especially true for individuals like me who are naturally inclined to overcommit.

However, I must also extend the same compassion to myself that I wish to offer others as I strive to become a more thoughtful, kind, and goal-oriented person.

Having completed my education with a terminal degree, I became so accustomed to juggling school, work, and multiple responsibilities that I began to fill my free time with various side projects.

Yet, I constantly remind myself that rest, self-care, and personal growth are interconnected. Yes, I have projects I could tackle, but they are not urgent enough to sacrifice my weekends for completion.
